Brief History
The School of Science, is the pioneer School of the University, which came on board, upon the National University Commission's recognition of Ondo State Univeristy of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH), Okitipupa, and approval to commence academic activities from January 2011 for 2010/2011 academic session, with the mandate of running programmes in the core disciplines of Biological, Chemical, Mathematical and Physical Sciences.
Academic activities (lecture delivery) took-off in the four Departments of the Faculty on the 7th of February 2011, with a two-day orientation programme organized for the pioneer students of the Univeristy between 2nd and 3rd February, 2011.
At present, the School of Science is running eleven programmes with four Departments as presented below;
In October 2017, Statistics programme was approved for the Department of Mathematical Sciences by the National University Commission.

About OAUSTECH
Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa was established by the Ondo State government in 2008. It was initially named as Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH).
It is a technology-based institution, which aims at providing the needed manpower training for industrial and technological development of Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole.
