Prof. S. Fakoya, B.Tech., M.Tech., Ph.D.(FUTA) is a seasoned academic, a Food Microbiologist, Mycologist and an expert in Mushroom Cultivation Technology. He had Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Food and Industrial Microbiology from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, in 2000; M. Tech. and Ph.D in Food Microbiology also from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, in 2005 and 2011 respectively. He became a Professor of Food and Industrial Microbiology with special interest in Mushroom Cultivation Technology and Mycology in 2020. He is a distinguished scholar with many publications to his credit and he belongs to many academic associations like American Society for Microbiology, USA.; Society for Applied Microbiology, London; Nigerian Society for Microbiology, and Mycological Society of Nigeria where he currently serves as the associate Editor-in-Chief.
