Prof Olujinmi M. Folarin, a renowned scientist and recognized internationally for his contributions to Industrial Chemistry. He joined the service of OAUSTECH as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Sciences of the University in 2011 and became a Professor of Industrial Chemistry in 2015.

He holds a PhD degree in Industrial Chemistry from University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. His research interests include metal nanoparticles synthesis and applications, seed oils and their utilization, polymer synthesis, polymer stabilization and degradation.

He had synthesized metal nanoparticles for novel applications, synthesized polymers applying metal nanoparticles as oxidant of the monomers and prepared polymer thermal stabilizers from seed oils and applied them in thermal stabilization of polyvinyl chloride. He has published more than 30 articles in scientific journal in his field and had attended many conferences and workshops both at home and abroad.
