Prof. Foluso Olutope Adetuyi currently an associate professor of food and post-harvest biochemistry. His first degree was on biochemistry while the postgraduate studies MTech and PhD was on food storage technology. His area of specialization is in food and postharvest biochemistry. His general research interest is in the quantification of nutritional, antinutritional and antioxidative properties of fruits and vegetables as affected by postharvest treatment methods. He has worked extensively on the postharvest storage of okra and has successfully published more than 50 articles in reputable international journals. Currently he is working on the enhancement of functional properties of herbs using UV-C as a postharvest treatment. He successfully organised the first annual conference of the Faculty of Science as the chairman organising committee and currently the editor in chief of COAST a journal of the Faculty of Science Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology. He is a member of Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology, Nutrition Society of Nigeria and Nigeria Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He is listed in Top 500 authors of Food Science, by Scholarly Output in Nigeria over the period 2014 to 2019.
Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa was established by the Ondo State government in 2008. It was initially named as Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH).
It is a technology-based institution, which aims at providing the needed manpower training for industrial and technological development of Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole.
