Receiving the donation on behalf of the University at a brief ceremony held in the SMS Building in the main campus on Tuesday, 30th June, 2026, OAUSTECH's Registrar, Mr. Abiodun Peter Okunniga disclosed that the donation is timely and very impressive.
He added that the donation is well noted and that it would facilitate practical learning and real time assimilation of some medical concepts in concrete terms. He thanked the donors profusely and prayed that God Almighty would continue to bless the family for their love for the institution.
The Registrar, seized the opportunity to appeal for more donations and support for the University from good spirited people across Nigeria and beyond, stating that the University still need more donations with regards to equipment, hostels, halls, lecture theaters, laptops, computers, textbooks and other educational materials and facilities.
In his remarks, the Acting Dean, School of Allied Health Sciences, Dr. Akinyehun Olubanjo described the donation as life saving and heartwarming, emphasizing that if most teaching hospitals and clinics in the nation have some of the donated equipment there would be low mortality rate, especially during accidents and other medical emergencies.
He therefore commended Dr. Aroge and family, stressing that they are worthy of emulation, adding that the School of Allied Health Sciences remained grateful for the beautiful philanthropical support.
Delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of the School, Coordinator, Nursing Sciences, Mrs. Foluke Mesarawon thanked the donor and his wife for the kind gesture, stating that using the equipment to train their students would enhance their practical capabilities and give them a good leverage over their peers elsewhere.
Earlier, during the presentation of the equipment, Dr. Aroge stated that the donation, which he described as a token, is to enhance practical training, capacity development, complement existing resources and support progress of the School in particular and the University in general.
While praying that God help him and his family to do more, he submitted that, "we came with nothing into this world and shall return with nothing", therefore, the need for everyone to contribute his or her little quota to the advancement of the country and humanity while alive.

The items donated include Suctioning machine/mucus extractor, Nebulizer machine, Sphygmomanometer, Stethoscope, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine, CPAP/BiPAP machine, CPAP/BiPAP Hose or Tubing, ResMed S8 Elite CPAP/BiPAP, Voldyne 2500 spirometer, Anatomical models (fermur, fibula and humerus), Apron, Mackintosh sheets, Cohesive bandage/ self-adherent elastic bandages, Nasal catheter, Syringes and needles, Ear syringe, Catheters, Theatre tape/drape and Multimedia projector among others.
The event was graced by members of staff from the School of Management Sciences and the School of Allied Health Sciences.
