The Best Graduating Student of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, Nigeria for 2023/2024 set, Mr. Magi Emeomi Stephen of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, School of Engineering and Engineering Technology has been awarded ₦500,000 scholarship award by Ahoanaruogho's family of Benin, Edo State.

The award tagged Mrs Josephine Ajua Ahonaruogho Prize Money for The Best Graduating Student for 2023/2024 Academic Session of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology was announced by Prince (Dr.) Richard Oma Ahonaruogho, SAN in a correspondence to the institution.

According to Prince Ahonaruogho, it is hoped that the award will further stimulate academic excellence and produce graduates that will lead Nigeria in her quest for excellence and true greatness.

The OAUSTECH Registrar OAUSTECH, Mr. Abiodun Peter Okunniga, reacting congratulated Mr Stephen, stressing that his outstanding academic performance, dedication and commitment to excellence have earned him the prestigious award and recognition.

"Your achievement is a testament to your hard work and perseverance, and we are proud to recognize your accomplishment," Okunniga reiterrated.

Appreciating Ahonaruogho's family for the kind gesture and the sumptuous prize award, the Registrar stated that the University believed that their investment in OAUSTECH students would have a lasting impact on their lives and the development of Nigeria.

"Once again, we thank you for your support and partnership. We are looking forward to your instituting the prize on a continuous basis," the Registrar pleaded.

In his reaction, the winner of the award, Magi said he was really shocked and could not sleep for about two days when the University Management first broke the news that he was the best graduating student for the 2023/2024 academic session. Adding that he was further overwhelmed by the prize award from Ahonaruogho's family.

"When the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Temi Ologunorisa informed me about the scholarship award from Ahonaruogho's family, I couldn't believe my ears and I remained dumbed and could not even move for seconds. It was a great surprise for me. All I know is that hard work pays and comes with its prizes. I thank God for everything. Also, I am sincerely grateful to the University Management, led by our amiable Vice-Chancellor, as well as Ahonaruogho's family for the great gesture," Stephen submitted.
