B. GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Candidates for postgraduate studies in the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa must have obtained at least five (5) credits in relevant subjects in WASC, NECO, GCE (ordinary level or their equivalents,) at not more than two (2) sittings. NOTE: Credit passes are required for English Language and Mathematics.
C. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
1. MABM DEGREE PROGRAMME
Candidates for admission into the MABM programme shall normally be graduates of the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology or of other approved universities or holders of equivalent qualifications recognized by the Senate. Candidates with Bachelor's degree from an approved university must obtain a minimum of second class lower division. Candidates might be required to take special admission test and/or interview. All candidates must have demonstrated adequate intellectual capacity, professionalism, maturity and effective decision-making and problem-solving potentials during the Universitys admission test and interview. Candidates with good quantitative background and some basic knowledge of Economics will have added advantage. Holders of HND at the minimum of Upper Credit level must possess Postgraduate Diploma in related disciplines from a recognized institution. Candidates who possess professional qualifications must possess Postgraduate Diploma in related area from a recognized institution. Candidates with at least 5 years of relevant industrial experience in Agribusiness shall have added advantage.
2. MPA DEGREE PROGRAMME
This is a special programme with its nature that takes into consideration all who are interested in developing administrative proficiency and effectiveness. Interested and prospective candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any field, such as the Social Sciences, Administration, Management, Pure and Natural Sciences, Arts and Education, Medical, Engineering, etc. with a minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division) from institutions recognised by Senate of the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa. Similarly, Postgraduate Diploma holders in Public Administration or HND in any Management and Social Science courses with minimum of Credit in the above stated disciplines may also be admitted for the Programme.
3. MBA DEGREE PROGRAMME
Candidates for admission into the MBA programme shall normally be graduates of the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology or other universities recognized by the OAUSTECH Senate or holders of equivalent qualifications recognised by the Senate of the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa with minimum of Second Class (Lower Division). The following professional qualifications are acceptable in special cases as equivalent qualifications: (i) A.C.A. (Nigeria) (ii) A.C.C.A. (iii) A.C.M.A. (iv) C.F.A. (U.S.A) (v) A.C.I.S. In special cases, HND with substantial experience may be considered. Candidates shall have at least 3 years post-qualification experience in a reputable organization.
4. DBA DEGREE PROGRAMME
The DBA programme is designed for Senior Executives and Consultants who want to make a step change in their career or stand out from their competitors in both public and private sectors of the economy. Candidates for admission into the programme shall normally be graduates of the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology or any other universities recognised by Senate of the University with a minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division) and a satisfactory Master’s degree in Business Administration or Management related fields.
5. DRM DEGREE PROGRAMME
Admission to the Professional Master in Disaster and Risk Management is open to holders of Bachelor's degrees in Social Sciences, Sciences, Engineering, Social Medicine, Environmental Sciences, Town Planning, Agriculture, Forestry, and Communication or Information Technology with a minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division ) from Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa or any other universities recognized by Senate of the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa. In addition, candidates with HND with at least Credit and at least three (3) years cognate experience may also be considered.
6. MEM DEGREE PROGRAMME
Admission to Professional Master in Environmental Management is open to holders of Bachelor’s degrees not lower than a Second Class Honours (Lower Division) in Geography, Social Sciences, Applied and Physical Sciences, Technology, Education, and Law. In exceptional cases, candidates with third class degree with Postgraduate Diploma or third class degree with cognate three years experience may be considered. Candidates with HND with at least Credit with three (3) years cognate experience in related disciplines from recognised institution as approved by Senate of the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa may be considered.
7. DEM DEGREE PROGRAMME
DEM programme is open to graduates of the Olusegun Agagu University of Science or any other universities recognised by Senate of the University with a minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division) in Social Sciences, Sciences, Engineering, Social Medicine, Environmental Sciences, Town Planning, Agriculture, Forestry, and Communication or Information Technology and a satisfactory Master’s degree in Environmental Management, Agriculture, Science, Engineering, or Social Sciences related fields.

N.B. Only candidates who have the NYSC Discharge Certificates or Exclusion Certificates will be allowed to enroll into the postgraduate programmes of the University
E. REFEREE REPORTS
Candidates should print out the referee forms provided in the application page for their referees to fill and return directly to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies. Applications shall not be processed unless the referee reports are available.
Note: Students are advised to check the University’s website for those courses that require written entrance examination. Candidates are to supply their e-mail addresses and telephone numbers when applying.
F. OTHER INFORMATION
Applicants are to note that a programme automatically lapse at the expiration of the maximum duration for each programme. However, a candidate may apply for an extension of not more than one semester for masters and two semesters for the Doctorate. The applicants will undergo a screening exercise before shortlisting for admission.
G. METHOD OF APPLICATION
(i) Candidates should process their applications on-line on the University’s website (https://www.oaustech.edu.ng), using the REMITA method with payment made to the School of Postgraduate Studies account.
(ii) Application forms for postgraduate programmes are sold for N20,000.00 only.
(iii) Specifically, Doctoral candidates should send their Research Proposal to using surname_school/dept.doc e.g. Ojo_sos/che.researchproposal
(iv) Non-OAUSTECH graduates are to request their institutions to forward their official academic transcripts to the address below (indicating the target programme) latest SIX (6) weeks from the date of submitting the application form.
