He was born on 26th November, 1965 in Ikare-Akoko, Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State, attended Victory College Ikare-Akoko and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the prestigious University of Lagos in 1997.
He also had a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Federal University of Technology (FUTA), Akure in 2006. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) in 1998 and was conferred with the fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) in 2018.
Mr. Aminu joined the services of the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, OAUSTECH, (formerly Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH), Okitipupa), as a Senior Accountant on 2nd February, 2009. Before joining the services of OAUSTECH, Mr. Aminu worked as Accountant and Internal Auditor in chartered accounting firms in Lagos for many years.
He takes great delight in entrenching transparency, openness, integrity and accountability in organizations. He is a member to the underlisted committees in the University:

Mr. Aminu was honoured by the Non Academic Staff Union of Education and Associated Institutions (NASU), OAUSTECH Branch for his tenacity, transparency, accountability and integrity in service delivery to mankind in April, 2018. Also, in recognition of his selfless services and commitment to the growth and development of OAUSTECH, Mr. G.B. Aminu was given a letter of Commendation in 2015 and 2021by the University Management.
He is a devoted Muslim and because of his devotion to his Islamic faith, he was nominated and appointed as the Chairman, OAUSTECH Muslim Community.
Mr. Aminu is happily married and blessed with children. He loves travelling, listening to music and counselling.
